WCT Veggie Salsacado Burger Recipe

Benefits of Veggie Burgers:

Aside from helping you to fulfill your daily serving of vegetables, there are many advantages of consuming a burger packed with vegetables instead of beef. 

First and foremost, veggie burgers are actually very low in calories. Compared to beef burgers which have an average of 225 calories, veggie burgers contain approximately half of that. Veggie burgers are also very high in fiber which helps keep you satiated longer by slowing down digestion and allowing the body to absorb key nutrients. Fiber also helps regulate your bowel health.

Veggie burgers are considered a carbohydrate, so be sure to add a healthy fat, such as avocado, and/or some lean protein, to make this a complete meal! 

Veggie-Burger-Versus-Beef-Burger

Ingredients:

1 organic veggie burger 

½ avocado

1 tsp olive oil

1 tsp mango peach salsa

 

Veggie-Burger-Recipe

Total Calories:

340

 

Macros:

Carbohydrates: 25g

Fat: 25g

Protein: 5g

 

Total Cook Time:

15 minutes

Recipe:

Step 1: Thaw out veggie burger patty

Step 2: In a small frying pan, add olive oil on low-medium heat

Step 3: Once the oil has been heated appropriately, add the veggie burger

Step 4: Let the veggie burger cook on one side for about five minutes and then flip the veggie burger to cook the other side

Step 5: Transfer the veggie burger to a plate

Step 6: Thinly slice avocado onto the veggie burger

Step 7: Add mango peach salsa (or another condiment of your choice)

Step 8: Enjoy
