WCT Pumpkin Hemp Power Cookies Recipe

Benefits of Hemp Seeds:

Hemp seeds derived from a type of nut that is extremely nutritious and beneficial to our body. They are rich in two essential fatty acids, linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid, and alpha-linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid. Not only are they a great source of fat, they are also a high-quality source of protein. Gram per gram, hemp seeds provide more protein than chia seeds and flax seeds, 

Interestingly hemp seeds have been linked to decreased symptoms of pre-menstrual and menopause. They have also been linked to decreased risk of heart disease. This is because hemp hearts contain large amounts of arginine, an amino acid that produces nitric oxide which dilates the blood vessels leading to a decrease in blood pressure. 

With all of these health benefits, why not give them a try with these delicious cookies?



2 bananas

1 cup of pumpkin puree

3 tbsp hemp hearts

1 cup raw oats

2 tbsp chia seeds

1/4 cup almond milk

1 tassel of cacao



Total Calories: 




Carbohydrates: 12g

Fat: 2g

Protein: 4g 


Total Cook Time:

15 minutes



Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Using a large mixing bowl, mix the raw oats, chia seeds, hemp hearts, and pumpkin. Set aside.

Step 3: Using a cutting board, thinly slice the bananas and add to the mixing bowl.

Step 4: Using a grater, grate the cacao into the mixture.

Step 5: Mix ingredients while slowly adding the almond milk

Step 6: Using a spoon as your guide, create 24 mini cookies and distribute onto a cookie pan  

Step 7: Put the cookies in the oven until the edges begin to brown 

Step 8: Enjoy



The above ingredients yield 24 mini cookies. The macro-nutrients are based on 2 mini cookies. Be sure to store in the refrigerator.
