Benefits of Acai Berries:

Acai, referred by some as a superfood, is one of the healthiest groups of berries you could possibly find. Indigenous in the Amazon rainforest, these berries have been providing humans with numerous health benefits for centuries.

Acai berries contain high levels of healthy fat and low levels of sugar and are full of anthocyanin, a powerful antioxidant that gives these berries their deep purple color. Anthocyanin is essential for our body because it helps neutralize damage by free radicals. Additionally, anthocyanin has been demonstrated to promote a healthy heart, resist harmful organisms, improve cellular health, boost our immune system and increase our energy levels. These delicious berries have also been found to help with digestion, promote healthy skin cells, aid in weight loss, and even improve one's mental and brain function.

Don't break your wallet going to a fancy organic restaurant to get an acai bowl, try this home-made recipe that is very delicious and super easy to make.

Ingredients:

1/2 packet of organic acai (frozen)

1 tbsp of almond butter

1 banana (frozen)

1/2 cup of almond milk

1 tbsp of hemp hearts

1 tbsp of chia seeds

DIY-Acai-Bowl

5 minutes

 

Recipe:

Step 1: Using the large Nutri Bullet 900 watt cup, add acai, 1/2 tbsp of almond butter, 3/4 of a banana, and almond milk

Step 2: Blend for about 15-20 seconds or until all contents have become creamy and smooth

Step 3: Add acai to a glass bowl

Step 4: Top with hemp hearts, chia seeds, 1/2 tbsp of almond butter and 1/4 of banana.

Step 5: Enjoy
