WCT Almond Crusted Flounder Recipe
Benefits of Almonds:
Almonds are one of the best superfoods on this planet. It is very unfortunate that the media has brainwashed people into being afraid of consuming fat in their diet. Almonds have numerous health benefits on their own, and they can also be used as a topping on other great dishes. In this recipe, we show how to use almond crumbs as a healthy alternative to bread crumbs, to take your meal to the next level. Flounder is an excellent dish to add this amazing superfood too.
4 oz wild Flounder
1/2 cup Almonds
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
*Additional spices if desired*
Total Cook Time:
Step 1: Using the handheld chopper shown below, add the almonds to the cup and chop until almonds are fine
Step 2: Rub the EVOO onto the flounder so that the entire surface area is coated with the oil
Step 3: Dip the flounder into the almonds on both sides so that the majority of the flounder has almond crumbs
Step 4: Add the flounder to a frying pan
Step 5: Ensure both sides are cooked (flounder begins to flake off when cooked)
Step 7: Feel free to add a handful of veggies such as kale, spinach, onions, chopped peppers or peas.
