How To Make Rice Quickly & Effectively
1 cup Rice (Jasmine, Basmatti, Brown)
1 3/4 cup Water
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
100 (per 1/2 cup)
Total Cook Time:
Step 1: Add EVOO to a small pot and heat over a high flame
Step 2: When EVOO has been heated, add in 1 cup of rice
Step 3: Stir the rice for 1 minute and then add in the water
Step 4: Heat over a high flame until the water begins to boil
Step 5: When the water begins to boil, reduce the flame to low and cover with a lid.
Step 6: Do not touch or stir the rice until all of the water has evaporated
Step 7: When all of the water has been absorbed, turn off the flame and allow the rice to cool
1 cup of uncooked rice yields about 3 cups of cooked rice. We recommend consuming 1/2 cup as the carbohydrate, therefore you will have 6 meals containing rice.
