How To Make Quinoa & Couscous Quickly & Effectively
1 cup Quinoa or Couscous
1 3/4 cup Water
110 (per 1/2 cup)
Total Cook Time:
Step 1: Add the water to a small pot and heat over a high flame until it begins to boil
Step 2: When the water begins to boil, add in the quinoa or couscous and reduce flame to low. Cover pot with lid.
Step 3: When the majority of the water has been absorbed, add the cinnamon and any other spices you desire
Step 4: When all of the water has been absorbed, and each quinoa has developed an outer white ring, turn off the flame. Couscous will not develop an outer white ring, however, when all water has been absorbed you could turn off the flame.
Step 5. Add in craisins and mix
Step 6: Enjoy
1 cup of uncooked quinoa and couscous yields about 3 cups of cooked quinoa or couscous. We recommend consuming 1/2 cup as the carbohydrate, therefore you will have 6 meals containing quinoa or couscous.
